About Hydrogen Innovation

The problem we're solving:

Industries aiming to decarbonize face significant challenges due to the high costs and inefficiencies of existing electrolyzer technologies, which rely on expensive rare earth materials and centralized production methods. These barriers hinder the widespread adoption of green hydrogen, crucial for reducing carbon emissions in sectors like heavy industry, transportation, and energy.

Our solution:

HydGen is a spin-off from the National University of Singapore, leading breakthrough innovations in green hydrogen technology. Our advanced electrolyzers utilize proprietary catalysts, membranes, and stack designs, delivering unmatched power efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This enables us to produce green hydrogen at the lowest unit costs, making it possible to decarbonize a wide range of industries and pave the way for a cleaner, decentralized energy future.

Our differentiator:

HydGen sets itself apart with its advanced Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Electrolyzers that eliminate the need for expensive rare earth metals, significantly reducing production costs and supply chain risks. Our proprietary catalysts and membrane designs deliver superior power efficiency, enabling the lowest unit costs for green hydrogen production. This makes HydGen a leader in decentralized hydrogen solutions, driving sustainable energy adoption across industries.

Our biggest achievement:

  1. Sold the first system to a customer in the mobility space.
  2. Have a pipeline of > $1.2M in qualified leads.
  3. Got in-principle approval for SGD 2 million grant from ESG-DST bilateral program
