About Bioflore

The problem we're solving:

We solved two problems: the high cost and effort of large -scale activities in forest conservation and restoration projects, and the difficulty of valuing the forest standing. Activities such as detection of forest individuals, carbon measurement, biodiversity monitoring and restoration are expensive and laborious. In addition, sampling and extrapolations, common in large areas, lack accuracy due to environmental variations, further increasing the cost and effort of traditional methods.

Our solution:

Through our methodology, it is possible to detect individuals of plant species (for economic or social purposes), detect planting failures (including reforestation), map biodiversity, measure carbon inventory above ground and follow the success of the restoration process . Through the use of satellite images or collected by drones, Deep Learning and IA. All results are available on an interactive platform with dashboard, maps and 3D views.

Our differentiator:

In addition to enabling periodic monitoring at a lower cost and greater accuracy compared to the methods offered by other companies in the area, data is available in an interface in GIS with 3D animations, easy -to -access and interactive access charts and charts fast. We offer different levels of solution so that our customers can choose from simpler methodologies, with more generalist models to more accurate and more robust solutions. We have a technical staff of renowned researchers in the area of remote sensing and was in the forest context.

Our biggest achievement:

We participated in 2021 in Climate Launchpad, organized by Climate Ventures, and were in 1st place in the national stage. In 2022, we participated in the Green Wave connections where we were awarded as a standard startup with the value of R $ 50 thousand reais. That same year we were also selected by Agtech Garage to participate in the sustainable soy program and received a financial contribution from Land Innovation Fund to continue the development of the FloreViewer platform with focus on the Cerrado biome. We were chosen as partners of Planet (largest orbital sensor company in the world). Our project with the Museum of Contemporary Art Inhotim was a matter of Jornal Nacional.
