About AmazonBiofert

The problem we're solving:

Açaí pulp factories generate more than 2 million tons of waste per year, where this waste is discarded in landfills or burned in boilers generating tons of CO², this action can prevent these factories from accessing international markets that have regulations regarding carbon footprint. Another problem is the death of the soil due to the use of chemical fertilizers, as well as the loss of money for small rural producers due to the use of fertilizers.

Our solution:

Implementation in conjunction with cooperatives and investors of biochar/bio-oil mini-factories certified to generate carbon credits. where biochar will directly impact soil recovery, reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and food production costs for rural producers, in addition to mitigating the impacts of waste generation from açaí pulp factories. Enabling access to regulated markets that charge for carbon footprint neutralization, as well as increased revenue with marginal revenue from the

Our differentiator:

We are specialists in açaí biochar, where we invested 1.26 million reais in research into biochar production routes from açaí waste. We are the first company in the Brazilian Amazon to produce and sell Biochar, and we are also the only one that implements shared gain in our business model with traditional communities.

Our biggest achievement:

We managed to raise equity free resources, which allowed us to go from an MVP of 24 tons per year to a production unit with a capacity of approximately 1,200 tons of finished product per year.

We were awarded in three acceleration programs, and recently appeared in the edition of one of the main agricultural magazines in Brazil. In addition to participation in magazines such as FORBES AGRO, VALOR ECONÔMICO and local newspapers.
