About 3Y Energy

The problem we're solving:

3Y Energy addresses the challenge of transitioning from fossil fuels to green fuels like biofuel, ammonia and hydrogen. The major problems include combustion issues, safety concerns, and the creation of new emissions during the transition, all of which impede widespread adoption of green fuels.

Our solution:

3Y Energy provides innovative solutions for green fuel utilization. Our patented ignition and cracking technologies enable existing vessels and vehicles to directly use green fuels like ammonia, helping them mvessels and vehicleseet decarbonization targets.

Our differentiator:

3Y Energy differentiates itself by offering advanced retrofitting solutions that enable existing vessels and vehicles to use green fuels. Their approach optimizes the energy efficiency, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

Our biggest achievement:

Founded in 2024 as a spin-off from NUS and Cambridge CARES, 3Y Energy has won the PIER71 Global Challenge, secured MPA MINT funding, and obtained other public grants totaling about $1 million. We've already begun collaborating with trial customers in Singapore and China on ammonia-to-power systems.
